ABOUT Queen Of The Mist

Pint of Wine Theatre Company’s acclaimed production of Michael John LaChiusa’s Queen Of The Mist comes to the Charing Cross Theatre for a strictly limited seven-week season.

Inspired by the astounding and outrageous true story of Anna Edson Taylor, who on her 63rdbirthday set out to be the first person to survive a trip over Niagara Fall in a barrel. Queen Of The Mist is an insightful and engaging exploration of the fickle world of celebrity and sensationalism with an unconventional heroine determined not to live an ordinary life.

Queen of the Mist is booking from 15 August 2019 until 5 October 2019 at Charing Cross Theatre, London.

WHAT’S THE STORY?

Based on the astounding and outrageous true story of Anna Edson Taylor, who in 1901 on her 63rdbirthday set out to be the first person to survive a trip over Niagara Falls in a barrel of her own design.

Navigating both the treacherous Falls and a fickle public with a ravenous appetite for sensationalism, this unconventional heroine vies for her legacy in a world clamouring with swindling managers, assassins, revolutionaries, moralising family, anarchists, and activists. Convinced that there is greatness in her and determined not to live as ordinary, she sets out to battle her fear and tempt her fate.
