Phoebe Waller-Bridge will reprise her star-making role in a limited West End run of FLEABAG.
It may have been the tv adaptation that brought Waller-Bridge to cult-like status, however the award-winning tv show began life as a supremely funny and filthy monologue back in 2013. Fast forward six years, with a Fringe First award in Edinburgh, several revivals, an international tour, two TV series and a sold-out run off-Broadway and Phoebe Waller-Bridge will return to her character Fleabag for a final time.
Written and performed by Waller-Bridge, and directed by Vicky Jones, Fleabag is a rip-roaring look at our emotionally unfiltered and oversexed heroine as she navigates her ailing business, chaotic sex life and her struggle dealing with the death of her best friend.
The show will run at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre for 30 performances only from 20 August 2019 through to 14 September 2019. Demand for tickets is expected to be high with tickets on-sale from 2 May 2019.
Fans of the tv show were crestfallen when Waller-Bridge confirmed the second series of the tv adaptation would be the last. The in-demand star continues to reach new heights with international recognition for her penmanship on Killing Eve, she has been drafted in to look at the script for the next Bond film.
Fleabag is booking from 20 August 2019 until 14 September 2019 at the Wyndham’s Theatre, London.
