New casting has been announced for Chichester Festival Theatre’s 2019 season.

Haydn Gwynne (The Windsors, Billy Elliot The Musical) will take on the title role in Cordelia Lynn’s adaptation of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, titled HEDDA TESMAN. Directed by Holly Race Roughan, the co-production with Headlong and The Lowry will run at the Minerva Theatre from 30 August to 28 September, before transferring to Salford where it runs from 3 to 19 October.

Rory Keenan (Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Peaky Blinders) will join Rachael Stirling (Tipping The Velvet, The Bletchley Circle) in Kate Hewitt’s revival of David Hare’s PLENTY. The piece will also feature Anthony Calf,Micah Balfour, Alan Booty, Raphael Desprez, Gemma Dobson, Philippe Edwards, Louise Mai Newberry, Macy Nyman, Nick Sampson, Rupert Young and Ozzie Yue Yolanda Kettle. PLENTY runs from 7 June – 29 June.

Bronté Barbé (Beautiful, Over the Rainbow), Isaac Gryn (Bugsy Malone) and Emmanuel Kojo (Show Boat, Girl From The North Country) join the cast of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA!.

Jeremy Sams revival features previously announced Josie Lawrence, Amara Okereke and Hyoie O’Grady Aunt Eller, Laurey and Curly.

Completing the cast are Jud Fry, Michelle Andrews, Georgie Ashford, Lindsay Atherton, Imogen Bailey, Jeremy Batt, Alex Christian, Nicolas Colicos, Christopher Dickins, Paige Fenlon, Alyn Hawke, Bethany Huckle, Emily Langham, Michael Lin, Rory Shafford, Jak Skelly, Rhys West and Anna Woodside. OKLAHOMA! runs from 15 July to 7 September.

Further casting has also been announced for THE DEEP BLUE SEA.  Joining Olivier Award winner Nancy Carroll, Hadley Fraser and Gerald Kyd are Denise Black, Matthew Cottle, Ralph Davis, Helena Wilson and Laurence Ubong Williams. Terence Rattigan’s play runs from 21 June to 27 July and is directed by Paul Foster.
