Haydn Gwynne

Haydn Gwynne (1957 – 2023) was an acclaimed British actress, known for both her stage and screen roles.

She recently starred inWhen Winston Went To War With The Wireless at the Donmar Warehouse in London; and The Great British Bake Off Musical at the Noel Coward Theatre in London.

Haydn was due to appear in Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends at the Gielgud Theatre in London, however was forced to withdraw at short notice due to ill health.

On stage her other recent credits include appearing in Anything Goes at the Barbican Theatre in London, and in Copenhagen at the Theatre Royal Bath.

Other stage work includes The Audience, Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown, Billy Elliot The Musical, and City of Angels. She has been nominated for four Olivier Awards, and won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical.

On TV, she has appeared in Drop the Dead Donkey (BAFTA nomination), The Crown (Netflix) and Channel 4’s The Windsors, playing Camilla.

Other TV roles include The Suspect, The Canterville Ghost, The Trial Of Joan Collins, The C Word, Law & Order, Peak Practice and Merseybeat.

Haydn’s film credits include Beauty And The Beast, Hunky Dory Miss Valentine, and These Foolish Things.
