West End legend Ruthie Henshall and Marisha Wallace will host the next Waitress Cast Album Karaoke post-show event at the Adelphi Theatre.
Audience members can sign up before the show for the chance to sing one minute of any song from Waitress – live on stage at the Adelphi and accompanied by the show’s musical director Katharine Woolley.
Olivier Award winnner and five-time nominee Ruthie Henshall is known for her performances in Cabaret in the West End and on Broadway, Peggy Sue Got Married, She Loves Me, Crazy For You, Marguerite and most recently Billy Elliot The Musical.
Marisha Wallace, who plays Becky in the show, recently made her West End debut playing Effie White in Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre after playing the role at the Tony winning regional theater Dallas Theater Center. Her Broadway credits include Something Rotten! and Disney’s Aladdin.
Previous Waitress Cast Album Karaoke co-hosts have included Katherine McPhee and Denise Van Outen, and Heart Breakfast presenter Lucy Horobin and Jack McBrayer.
The next Waitress Cast Album Karaoke post-show event will be held on 10 April 2019.
The Tony-nominated musical opened to favourable reviews last month and recently extended its booking period to 19 October 2019.
Waitress is based on the 2007 film written by Adrienne Shelly and follows Jenna, an expert baker and waitress who dreams of escaping her loveless marriage.
The hit show features Katherine McPhee, who plays Jenna, alongside Emmy-nominee Jack McBrayer (30 Rock), Laura Baldwin, Peter Hannah, David Hunter (Kinky Boots) and Shaun Prendergast.
Waitress is currently booking until 19 October 2019 at the Adelphi Theatre, London.
