9 to 5 The Musical – first look

Production images have been released offering a first look at Amber Davies, Natalie McQueen, Caroline Sheen, Bonnie Langford and Brian Conley in 9 to 5 The Musical which is currently in previews at the Savoy Theatre in London.

Based on the hilarious film starring Jane Fonda, Lilly Tomlin and Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 The Musical tells the story of three workmates pushed to the edge by their sexist over-bearing boss. Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable boss, will the girls manage to reform the office or will they come unstuck by the surprise visit of the CEO and Franklin Hart’s suspecting secretary.

The cast features Love Island’s Amber Davies as Judy Bernly, Caroline Sheen as Violet Newstead, Natalie McQueen (Kinky Boots, Wicked) as Doralee Rhodes, Brian Conley as Franklin Hart and Bonnie Langford as Hart’s secretary Roz.

In typical West End drama, West End pro Caroline Sheen stepping into the role of Violet Newstead with only 2 weeks rehearsal following Louise Redknapp’s unfortunate injury.

  1. Saw matinee performance yesterday 27th March. Fantastic! Stand out performances from Natalie McQueen, Brian Conley and Bonnie Langford. Louise Redknapp also excellent considering she is still a novice in the musical theatre world. Funny, well acted. Super songs, all of the cast excellent. Came away not believing that in a couple of hours the cast would be on stage performing it all again. A brilliant time had by myself and three companions.
