Olivier Award-winning actor Iwan Rheon will star in the West End premiere of Dawn King’s award-winning thriller this Autumn.
Best known for playing Ramsay Bolton in the international hit series Game of Thrones, his other work includes E4’s BAFTA award-winning superhero drama Misfits, ITV’s Vicious, BBC One’s Our Girl, Netflix sci-fi thriller Residue , Sky One’s Riviera/cite> and Marvel’s ABC drama series Inhumans .
Iwan made his stage debut in Eight Miles High at Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre, before his breakthrough role as the haunted, suicidal Moritz in the musical Spring Awakening, for which he won the 2010 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical. Other theatre work includes John Osborne’s The Devil Inside Him (National Theatre Wales) and Aleksey Scherbak’s Remembrance Day at the Royal Court Theatre.
King’s unsettling and darkly comic drama is a parable about the irrational search for scapegoats to explain the ills that haunt mankind.
Set in an English countryside on the brink of crisis, Iwan play’s William Bloor, a foxfinder sent to a failing farm to investigate a suspected fox infestation. Fixated on the fox that is to blame for the farm’s woes, he finds more questions than answers.
Foxfinder is directed by Rachel O’Riordan (Olivier Award for Killology – Royal Court), with costume and set design by Gary McCann and lighting design by Paul Anderson. Simon Slater is composer and sound designer for the production.
