Channing Tatum’s erotic male dance show, Magic Mike Live, will open at London’s Hippodrome Casino in Novermber 2018.
Hailed as “the modern strip show we deserve” by USA Today, the production is based on the Hollywood star’s hit films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL.
Loosely based on the experiences of Tatum, the film Magic Mike revolves around a young guy who enters the world of male stripping. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the 2012 film also starred Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey.
The immersive dance and acrobatic spectacular premiered in Las Vegas last year to widespread enthusiasm and was described as “the show that has everything you could ever want” by Glamour UK.
The London Hippodrome will transform their theatre into an intimate 325-seat performance space with patrons entering Magic Mike’s mythical Club Domina via a bespoke entrance off Cranbourn Street.
A strictly 18+ affair, Magic Mike Live promises sexy dance and strip routines intertwined with one-of-a-kind acts from a diverse cast of international performers.
Conceived by Tatum who also co-directs with Alison Faulk, Magic Mike Live has choreography by Alison Faulk, Teresa Espinosa and Luke Broadlick.
Magic Mike Live is booking from 10 November 2018 until 28 April 2019 at The Theatre, Hippodrome Casino, London.
