Channing Tatum and his co-producers have announced that the show has extended its booking period at The Theatre at the Hippodrome Casino in London, to 5 January 2025. ‘Magic Mike Live’ to reopen in May 2021, with socially distanced performances
London’s sauciest live entertainment show Magic Mike Live will reopen at the Hippodrome Casino in May. Conceived and co-directed by Hollywood star Channing Tatum the smash-hit dance show has been revamped to include new dance sequences and songs in a covid-secure environment. The new show has already opened in Sydney Australia, where it is successfully playing to socially distanced audiences.   Magic Mike Live opens with socially distanced performances and free bubbles. Executive Producer Vincent Marini said “We have been working to develop a show that prioritises the safety of our employees and guests but also manages to be as fun, electric and unexpected as ever. While it has been a creative challenge to make changes to the show we all love so much, we believe that the finished product, which has already been successfully launched in Sydney, will bring a great deal of joy to London at a time when it is sorely needed. We’re going to make the show’s return to the Hippodrome – after 14 long months away – absolutely epic.” The show is promoting a new “Too Good To Be True” ticketing policy, which gives patrons unprecedented booking flexibility.  Marini said “We want our guests to know that they can book with confidence knowing they will never lose the value of their ticket. If they cannot attend the show for any reason, even on the day of the performance, all they need to do is contact us and we’ll rebook them or give them a refund… no questions asked.” As an added incentive all tickets for performances from 21 May 2021 until 1 August 2021 will include complementary Prosecco! Inspired by the films Magic Mike Live and Magic Mike XXL, the hot-under-the-collar dance show has been a stomping success in Las Vegas, Sydney and London. Launching in Vegas in 2017, the show has already been seen by a whopping 750,000 world-wide, with 200,00 in London alone. Hailed as “the modern strip show we deserve” by USA Today, the production is based on the Hollywood star's hit films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL. The erotic dance show will feature a multinational cast includes Jake Brewer, Harry Carter, Pip Hersee, Sophie Linder-Lee, Jack Manley, David Morgan, Ross Sands, Dean Stewart, Manny Tsakanika, Samantha Baines and Aaron Witter from the United Kingdom, Daniel Ralph from France, Antonio Donadio and Sebastián Melo Taveira from Italy, Maxwell Trengove from Australia and Brian Siregar from the USA. The show premiered in Las Vegas in 2017 to widespread enthusiasm and was described as “the show that has everything you could ever want” by Glamour UK. Buddy Holly musical announces UK Tour
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, smash-hit rock 'n' roll musical Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story will tour the UK in 2019 Buddy will open at the Theatre Royal Plymouth on 3rd September 2019, playing for 1 week, before embarking on an extensive UK tour with venues and dates to be announced. Adrian Vinken OBE, Chief Executive, Theatre Royal Plymouth said: “We are proud that Buddy will be opening its 30th Anniversary Tour back here at the Theatre Royal Plymouth in 2019. Thirty years is an incredible achievement. The show was developed and started its life at the Theatre Royal Plymouth in 1989 and so this is very much the show’s ‘spiritual home’. Plymouth audiences have always loved to rock along to this show and the anniversary will be a major celebration.” A critic and fan favourite, Buddy tells the enduring tale of the musical icon’s meteoric rise to fame and his final legendary performance at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, before his tragic and untimely death at the age of 22. The musical features 20 of Buddy Holly’s greatest hits, including timeless classics That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Oh Boy and Rave On.
