Will Young

Will Young recently starred in acclaimed play Song From Far Away at Hampstead Theatre in London.

Best known as a singer and songwriter and the first winner of TV talent show Pop Idol, Will Young was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2013 for his role in the musical Cabaret.

Will Young’s stage credits also include a starring role as the band leader in Strictly Ballroom The Musical, and the lead role in the Royal Exchange Theatre’s production of The Vortex by Noël Coward.

Will has appeared on screen in the BBC film Mrs. Henderson Presents, starring Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, and the Marple drama The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side. He also guest starred in an episode of Skins.

In terms of Will’s music career, his double A-sided debut single “Anything Is Possible” / “Evergreen” was released two weeks after the show’s finale and became the fastest-selling debut single in the UK. After winning the competition the following year, he released his debut album From Now On which went straight to number one. His albums have spawned many songs that have achieved top ten positions in the UK, four of which went to the number one spot. Young has also undertaken numerous concert tours and has accumulated multiple honours, including two Brit Awards from 12 nominations, and the estimated worldwide sale of over eight million albums.
