Anthony Horowitz’s Mindgame gets West End revival

Anthony Horowitz’s play Mindgame will run at the Ambassadors Theatre later this month

Following the early closure of New Faces juke box musical All or Nothing, Horowitz’s 1999 psychological thriller Mindgame is revived for three weeks at the Ambassadors Theatre.

Based on Horowitz’s novel of the same name, Mindgame premiered in Colchester in 1999, before transferring to the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre the following year starring Simon Ward, Christopher Blake and Helen Hobson.

The dark thriller follows a ‘true crime’ writer of glossy paperbacks who arrives at a hospital for the criminally insane in the hope of interviewing a serial killer. It’s not long before suspicions are raised, and not everyone is who they seem to be.

Horowitz is renowned for his mystery novels, including the Alex Rider and The Diamond Brothers series. He has also written two Sherlock Holmes novels, and following his 2015 novel Trigger Mortis, his second James Bond book, Forever and a Day, is due out later this year.

Casting is yet to be announced.
