Clare Foster, Lee Ingleby and Thusitha Jayasundera complete casting for the West End production of Nina Raine’s riveting drama Consent.
Foster was most recently on stage in the critically acclaimed production of Travesties (Menier Chocolate Factory/ Apollo Theatre) alongside Tom Hollander and Freddie Fox. Her performance garnered an Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Play. Other West End roles include Avenue Q, The Far Pavillions and We Will Rock You.
Her recent film and television credits include Holmes and Watson, Les Miserables, Black Forest, Dark Heart, Sherlock, Taboo, Galavant, Ripper Street and The Crown.
Lee Ingleby is best known for his roles as Detective Sergeant John Bacchus in the BBC drama Inspector George Gently and as Stan Shunpike in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Lee’s theatre credits include Our Class and The Pillowman both at the National Theatre, Furnace Four and Shoreditch Madonna both at Soho Theatre, Cressida at the Almeida Theatre, Drink, Dance, Laugh and Lie at the Bush Theatre and About the Boy at The Royal Court.
Thusitha Jayasundera was most recently seen in The Divide at The Old Vic, and has previously appeared in Nina Raine’s Tiger Country at Hampstead Theatre.
The trio join previously announced cast comprising Claudie Blakley, Stephen Campbell Moore, Heather Craney and Adam James.
Directed by Roger Michell and originally co-produced and commissioned by Out of Joint, Consent previously ran at the National Theatre in 2017.
Nina Raine’s blistering play explores ideas of justice, consent, marriage and modern parenthood.
