West End transfer for Consent

Nina Raine’s blistering new play Consent secures West End transfer following a critically acclaimed debut at the National Theatre in 2017.

Described as an intense modern day tragi-comedy, the story follows a group of friends who take opposing briefs in a contentious rape case which also spills into their private lives.

The result is a play of fierce moral intelligence that, for the most part, leaves the audience to weigh up the rights and wrongs of specific cases.

The production, originally co-produced and commissioned by Out of Joint, first ran in the Dorfman at the National Theatre in April 2017 where it sold out.

The West End production will star Claudie Blakley (The Painkiller), Stephen Campbell Moore (The History Boys), Heather Craney and Adam James with further casting to be announced.

Roger Michell directs with set design by Hildegard Bechtler, with costumes by Dinah Collin, lighting by Rick Fisher, music by Kate Whitley, sound by John Leonard
