West End hit musical Kinky Boots celebrated its 1000th London performance this week.
The Olivier award-winning show has now been seen by over 1 million people at London’s Adelphi Theatre.
Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. As Charlie Price struggles to live up to his father expectations and run the family business, his chance encounter with the fabulous entertainer Lola might just change everything.
The production has become a favourite with UK theatregoers having won three Olivier Awards, the London Evening Standard BBC Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical as well as three WhatsOnStage Awards.
The cast is lead by David Hunter as Charlie Price and Simon-Anthony Rhoden as Lola.
Kinky Boots has a book by Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein, songs by ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ pop icon Cyndi Lauper and is directed and choreographed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Hairspray).
Kinky Boots is booking until 30 June 2018 at the Adelphi Theatre.
