Casting has been announced for The Old Vic’s forthcoming production of Queers
Queers is a series of 8 monologues curated by Mark Gatiss to celebrate 50 years since the passing of the Sexual Offences Act of 1967 which began the decriminalisation process for homosexuality between men.
Written by Matthew Baldwin, Jon Bradfield, Jackie Clune, Michael Dennis, Brian Fillis, Mark Gatiss, Keith Jarrett and Gareth McLean, the monologues celebrate some of the most poignant, funny, tragic and riotous moments of British gay male history over the last century.
Directed by Mark Gatiss, Max Webster and Joe Murphy, the monologues will be performed by Russell Tovey, Gemma Whelan, Mark Bonnar, Sara Crowe, Jack Derges, Ian Gelder, Kadiff Kirwan and Fionn Whitehead.
Queers will be staged on 28 and 31 July 2017 at The Old Vic.
