Declan Bennett & Tyrone Huntley return to Jesus Christ Superstar

Declan Bennett & Tyrone Huntley confirmed for Jesus Christ Superstar at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.

The Olivier and Evening Standard Award-winning production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical returns to the Open Air theatre following the massive success of 2016.

Declan Bennett will return to the role of Jesus and Tyrone Huntley returns to his award-winning performance as Judas.

Huntley won the Evening Standard Emerging Talent Award in 2016, as well as an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. He most recently played C.C.White in Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre.

Also returning are David Thaxton (Passion, Donmar)and Peter Caulfield (One Man, Two Guvnors, National) as Pilate and Herod.

Directed by Timothy Sheader, the production was nominated for five Olivier Awards in 2016, winning Best Musical revival.
