Pantomime returned to the West End last night with the opening night of Cinderella at the London Palladium.
Natasha Barnes stars as Cinderella alongside Paul O’Grady as The Wicked Stepmother, Amanda Holden as Fairy Godmother, Julian Clary as Dandini, Lee Mead as Prince Charming, ventriloquist Paul Zerdin as Buttons, Nigel Havers as Lord Chamberlain and Count Arthur Strong as Baron Hardup.
Stars including Cliff Richard, Gloria Hunniford, Tamzin Outhwaite, Steve McFadden, Gaby Roslin and The Krankies turned out to support the cast.
Des O’Connor, who starred in the last pantomime at the London Palladium in 1985 – which was also Cinderella – was also there.
Cinderella runs until 15 January 2017 at the London Palladium.
