The Children at the Royal Court Theatre

‘Kirkwood is part of a new generation of writers who are redefining their role in a changing theatre landscape.’ The Guardian’s Lyn Gardner.
The Children runs from 17 November 2016 until 14 January 2017 at the Royal Court Theatre.

REVIEWS
★★★★ Kirkwood’s slow-burning drama asks profound questions – The Guardian
★★★★ Kirkwood is the most rewarding dramatist of her generation – The Independent
★★★★ part of the brilliance of Kirkwood’s play is how the nuclear scenario only half matters. ‘The Children’ is tantalisingly hard to define: it is about aging and responsibility. It’s about a reckoning – Time Out
★★★★ It has a pressing, provocative question at its heart – about the responsibility of the older generation towards the young – Daily Telegraph
