First look at Harriet Walter and the all female company of the Donmar Shakespeare Trilogy

Production images have been released of the Donmar’s Shakespeare Trilogy which opens tonight at the King’s Cross Theatre.

Phyllida Lloyd completes her all-female Shakespeare Trilogy with a revival of her ground-breaking productions of Henry IV and Julius Caesar and a new staging of The Tempest.

Harriet Walter reprises her electrifying performance in the titular role of Henry IV, Brutus in Julius Caesar and plays Prospero in The Tempest. The company also features Jade Anouka, Sheila Atim, Jackie Clune, Shiloh Coke, Karen Dunbar, Clare Dunne, Zainab Hasan, Jennifer Joseph, Martina Laird, Sophie Stanton, Sharon Rooney, Carolina Valdés.

A defining project in the Donmar’s recent history, Phyllida Lloyd’s reimagining of these classics into a bold and invigorating new productions has given audiences a new perspective on Shakespeare’s work.

Shakespeare Trilogy will be staged over a 13 week repertory season in a purpose built 420 seat, in-the-round performance theatre in King’s Cross.

On special Donmar Shakespeare Trilogy days, all three plays will be performed back to back.
