Mr Popper’s Penguins comes to London’s Criterion Theatre.

Direct from a New York City season! Mr & Mrs Popper and their amazing family of performing penguins make their West End debut at the Criterion this Christmas.

This delightful musical adaptation of Richard and Florence Atwater’s popular book (also made into a Hollywood film starring Jim Carrey) is brought to you by the producers of The Tiger Who Came to Tea and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.

Mr Popper’s Penguins runs from 15 December 2016 until 31 December 2016 at the Criterion Theatre, London.

STORY

Painter and decorator by day, Mr Popper spends his time dreaming of Antarctic adventures.

One day a mysterious packing crate arrives on his doorstep, and to his amazement out waddles a penguin!

With songs, puppets and a family of performing penguins, this delighful show for young children.

CAST

The cast is led by Russell Morton (As Is) as the titular character, with Roxanne Palmer ( Legally Blonde the Musical) as wife Mrs Popper. Lucy Grattan (Bell Weather) and Toby Manley (Alice’s Adventures Underground) will be the puppeteers.

CREATIVE TEAM

Adapted for the stage by Pins and Needles Productions with music by Luke Bateman and lyrics by Richy Hughes. Directed by Emma Earle, design by Zoe Squire, puppet design by Nick Barnes, lighting by Rick Mountjoy and sound by Jason Barnes.
