Charlotte Hope joins the cast of Buried Child

Final casting has been announced for the highly anticipated West End production of Sam Shepard’s Pulitzer prize winning Buried Child.

Joining previously announced Ed Harris, Amy Madigan and Jeremy Irvine will be Charlotte Hope, who makes her West End debut, along with Jack Fortune, Barnaby Kay and Gary Shelford.

Hope is possibly best known for her role as Myranda in the multi-award-winning TV series Game of Thrones, here other film credits include Les Misérables, Allied, A United Kingdom, The Theory of Everything, Testament Of Youth, The Invisible Woman, and Three Christs of Ypsilanti.

Set in the context of the American farming family of the 1970’s, Buried Child is a dark, macabre and painfully funny family drama that shines a brutal light on disenfranchised Americans

Buried Child originally premiered in San Francisco in 1978, winning the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1979, before transferring to Broadway in 1996.

Director Scott Elliot’s current production premiered off-Broadway at The Pershing Square Signature Center in March 2016, starring Harris and Madigan, where it was nominated for two Lucille Lortel Awards.
Buried Child will run from 14 November 2016 until 15 February 2017 at Trafalgar Studios.
