First look at the new production of acclaimed rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar at Regents Park Open Air Theatre.
Celebrating 45 years since Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s seminal musical first hit the stage, Jesus Christ Superstar returns to London in a powerful new production directed by Timothy Sheader.
Singer-songwriter Declan Bennett, once a member of Brit Award nominated band Point Break, and more recently the lead in the musical Once leads the cast as Jesus alongside Anoushka Lucas as Mary Magdelene, David Thaxton as Pilate, Cavin Cornwall as Caiaphas, Peter Caulfield as Herod, Phil King as Peter, Joel Harper-Jackson as Simon Zealotes, Sean Kingsley as Annas and Tyrone Huntley as Judas.
With a legendary score including I Don’t Know How to Love Him, Gethsemane and Superstar, experience epic storytelling in the remarkable surroundings of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
Jesus Christ Superstar will run from 15 July 2016 until 27 August 2016 at Regents Park Open Air Theatre.
