The multi-award winning musical Sunny Afternoon is to close in the West End, after more than 2 years at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
The production will conclude its West End run at the end of its current booking period with the final performance on 29 October 2016.
Sunny Afternoon tells the story of the early life of Ray Davies and the rise to stardom of hit British rock band The Kinks; the show features some of their best-loved songs, including You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset and Lola, Sunny Afternoon.
The production was the best performing show at the 2015 Olivier Awards, winning four awards including Best New Musical. Ray Davies won for Outstanding Achievement in Music.
As previously announced, Sunny Afternoon will begin a national tour on 19 August 2016 at the Manchester Opera House.
Sunny Afternoon runs until 29 October 2015 at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
