Tony and Olivier Award winning show In The Heights announces new cast members.
Christine Allado (From Here to Eternity, Here Lies Love) replaces Jade Ewen who leaves to become Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin, Norma Atallah (The Sound of Music – Live) joins as Abuela and Jonathan Bishop (The Lion King) as Graffiti Pete.
Kimmy Edwards (Memphis) and Ryan Reid (Shrek The Musical) also join existing cast members David Bedella, Josie Benson, Vas Constanti, Lily Frazer, Sam Mackay, Sarah Naudi, Joe Aaron Reid, Cleve September and Philippa Stefani.
Completing the cast is Jocasta Almgill, Courtney-Mae Briggs, Michael Cortez, Gabriela Garcia, Reiss Hinds, Alexzandra Sarmiento and Spin.
Created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the man behind the critically acclaimed Broadway phenomenon Hamilton, In The Heights won three Olivier’s at the 2016 Olivier Awards including Outstanding Achievement in Music, Best Theatre Choreographer (Drew McOnie) and Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical (David Bedella).
In The Heights is directed by Luke Sheppard (Casa Valentina) and choreographed by Drew McOnie (Bugsy Malone, Jekyl & Hyde), with musical supervision by Tom Deering (Made In Dagenham) and set design by takis (Chicago).
In the Heights runs until 30 October 2016 at the King’s Cross Theatre.
