The Olivier Awards have announced the shortlisted shows for the Magic Radio Audience Award 2016.
The four shortlisted shows are Jersey Boys, Matilda The Musical, Les Misérables, and The Phantom Of The Opera.
Richard Allinson, Magic’s Drive Time Presenter said “It has been fantastic seeing our listeners get so excited about the Magic Radio Audience Award. Competition has been fierce and there is a plethora of amazing West End shows featured. I cannot wait to see the final four gather in Covent Garden and wait with anticipation to see who the winner is”
The shortlisted show will perform on the ITV Stage in Covent Garden Piazza on Sunday 3 April 2016.
There were 16 eligible shows for this year’s Audience Award: Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, Disney’s The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia!, Matilda The Musical, Les Misérables, The Mousetrap, The Phantom Of The Opera, The Play That Goes Wrong, The Railway Children, Stomp, Sunny Afternoon, Thriller Live and The Woman In Black. As Wicked won the Audience Award in 2015 it is not eligible for 2016’s award.
The awards, which this year celebrate their 40th anniversary, will take place on Sunday 3 April 2016 at the Royal Opera House.
