Tony Award-winning play Peter and The Starcatcher will reportedly transfer to the UK in 2016, providing it with a European premiere.
Based on the 2006 novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson and adapted for the stage by Rick Elice, the play provides a backstory for the character Peter Pan and serves as a prequel to J. M. Barrie’s Peter and Wendy.
Peter and the Starcatcher won five Tony Awards during its 2012 Broadway run, including best actor for Christian Borler.
Luke Sheppard (In the Heights) is said to be helming the production which will play a Midlands venue for Christmas 2016 before embarking on a UK tour and ending up in London. No news on casting.
