Broadway star Linda Emond has been cast as Ralph Fiennes wife in the upcoming play The Master Builder at the Old Vic
Adapted for the Old Vic by David Hare, Henrik Ibsen’s The Master Builder is a powerful drama about an architect whose life begins to unravel when a young woman, played by Sarah Snook, questions his ideals. Snook can currently be seen in The Dress Maker and the Steve Jobs film alongside Kate Winslet.
Also joining the cast are James Laurenson (Knut Brovnik), James Dreyfus (Dr Herdal) and Charlie Cameron (Kaja Fosli) who is currently in The Hairy Ape. Ralph Fiennes will play Halvard Solness, Linda Emond his wife Aline Solness and Sarah Snook will play Hilde Wangel
The production is directed by Matthew Warchus with design by Rob Howell, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, music by Gary Yershon and sound by Simon Barker
The Master Builder will play a limited season from 23 January 2016 until 19 March 2016 at the Old Vic.
