Russell Tovey joins the cast of Broadway transfer A View from the Bridge.
Russell Tovey joins the Young Vic’s Olivier Award-winning production of A View from the Bridge when it transfers to Broadway last this year. Tovey will play Rodolpho alongside original cast members Mark Strong (Eddie), Nicola Walker (Beatrice), Phoebe Fox (Catherine), Emun Elliott (Marco), and Michael Gould (Alfieri) and Richard Hansell (Louis).
Russell Tovey last appeared on Broadway in the National Theatre production of The History Boys playing Rudge, the role he originated. He was last on stage in The Pass at the Royal Court Theatre.
A View from the Bridge runs from 21 October 2015 to 21 February 2016 at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway.
Directed by Ivo van Hove, the production features scenic and lighting design by Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D’Huys, and sound design by Tom Gibbons.
