Hamlet starring Benedict Cumberbatch announce full casting.
Full casting has been announced for Lyndsey Turner’s much-anticipated production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
Joining Cumberbatch are Ciarán Hinds (Claudius), Barry Aird (Soldier), Eddie Arnold (Danish Captain, Servant), Leo Bill (Horatio), Siân Brooke (Ophelia), Nigel Carrington (Servant, Cornelius), Ruairi Conaghan (Player King), Rudi Dharmalingam (Guildenstern), Colin Haigh (Priest, Messenger), Paul Ham (Official), Diveen Henry (Player Queen, Messenger), Anastasia Hille (Gertrude), Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Laertes), Karl Johnson (Ghost of Hamlet’s father), Jim Norton (Polonius), Amaka Okafor (Official), Dan Parr (Barnardo), Jan Shepherd (Courtier), Morag Siller (Voltemand), Matthew Steer (Rosencrantz), Sergo Vares (Fortinbras) and Dwane Walcott (Marcellus).
The production which began rehearsals today quickly sold out of general admission tickets for the exclusive 12 week run however theatre-goers are still able to purchase tickets via WestEndTheatre.com ‘s – Theatre Breaks packages which combine the ticket and a nights accommodation in a London hotel.
Hamlet plays a limited season from 5 August 2015 until 31 October 2015 at the Barbican.
