The Trial starring Rory Kinnear extends run at the Young Vic

The Young Vic production of The Trial has extended its run until 22 August 2015.

Due to unprecedented demand the Young Vic have extended The Trial which will now finish on 22 August 2015.

The Trial stars Rory Kinnear, who returns to the stage for the first time since his Evening Standard Award-winning performance as Iago in Othello (National Theatre) in 2013, for which he also won an Olivier Award.  Joining Kinnear in the ensemble are Critics’ Circle Award-winner Kate O’Flynn whose film credits include Mr Turner and Happy Go Lucky, W1A’s Hugh Skinner who returns to the Young Vic having appeared in Katie Mitchell’s 2014 production of The Cherry Orchard, and Olivier nominee Sian Thomas whose film credits include two of the Harry Potter series.  They are joined in the company by Marc Antolin, Steven Beard, Richard Cant, Sarah Crowden, Charlie Folorunsho, Neil Haigh, Suzy King and Weruche Opia.

Rory Kinnear plays K, whose 30th birthday begins a waking nightmare. Visited at home by state agents and accused of an unspecified crime, K. is bewildered by spiraling layers of bureaucracy – and the more sinister motives which lurk beneath them.

The Trial by Franz Kafka is adapted by Nick Gill and directed by Richard Jones.

The Trial plays a strictly limited season from 19 June 2015 until 22 August 2015 at the Young Vic theatre.
