Holy Fool Tickets London – Park Theatre
Holy Fool comes to Park Theatre from 27 August to 10 October 2026.
Written by Rosalind Adler and Lea Sellers, and directed by Kate Fahy, this tense new drama follows celebrated Soviet composer Dmitri Shostakovich as he navigates life under Stalin’s regime.
As political pressure mounts, Shostakovich must balance survival with artistic integrity — using music to conceal quiet acts of resistance beneath outward obedience.
Darkly witty and psychologically charged, Holy Fool explores tyranny, creativity and the risks of speaking out.

What is Holy Fool about?
Set during Stalin’s Soviet Union, Holy Fool explores the life of Dmitri Shostakovich as fear, censorship and political oppression close in around him.
Caught between public loyalty and private rebellion, the composer must decide how far he is willing to compromise in order to survive.
