Casting has been announced for the London return of award-winning new musical Hot Mess.
Hot Mess is playing a strictly limited season at The Other Palace theatre in London from 13 June to 6 September 2026.
The show will star Danielle Steers (Six The Musical, Just For One Day) as Earth, and Morgan Gregory (Back to the Future, The Lightning Thief) as Humanity.

The cast also features covers Mia Quimpo (Pippin) as Earth and Nathan Shaw (Mamma Mia! The Party) as Humanity.
Danielle Steers said that she is “super excited to be returning to Hot Mess!”, with Morgan Gregory “over the moon to be joining the team”.
The award-winning musical
Hot Mess is the latest musical from acclaimed writing partners Jack Godfrey (music and lyrics) and Ellie Coote (book), the team behind musical 42 Balloons. Ellie Coote also directs the show.
Hot Mess returns to London already armed with a number of high-profile awards, following its successful run last year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at the Southwark Playhouse Elephant.
In August, Ellie Coote and Jack Godfrey won the prestigious Popcorn Writing Award 2025 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for Hot Mess. Also in Edinburgh, Hot Mess won International Fringe Encore Series Edinburgh Prize at the The List Festival Awards 2025.
A Hot Mess cast album was released back in December.
A billion years of bad dates
Hot Mess is a story about the universe’s most iconic couple, following Earth and Humanity. After a billion years of searching, Earth finally finds “the one.” While the affair begins with flourishing technology and harvested wheat, the relationship quickly descends into, well, a Hot Mess.
The show holds the distinction of being the first production to transfer to London from the Birmingham Hippodrome’s New Musical Theatre Department.
