Oliver!

This new production of Oliver! reimagines Lionel Bart’s much-loved musical Inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic novel Oliver Twist to great acclaim. After a run at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2024, Oliver! transfered to the West End and recently celebrated its 500th performance.
Directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne (Swan Lake, The Red Shoes, Romeo & Juliet), this is one of the West End’s most talked-about musicals and features familiar songs like ‘I’d Do Anything,’ ‘Consider Yourself,’ ‘Food, Glorious Food’ performed with spectacle and heart.
Classic characters are brought to life with gusto and this revival is a stellar interpretation of the beloved story. Burlesque the Musical
The Arts at Marble Arch
Burlesque the Musical returns to London this September, playing a limited run at The Arts at Marble Arch. Described by RadioTimes as ‘camp, glitzy and hilarious’ during its sold out run at the Savoy Theatre in 2025, Burlesque the Musical injects even more sparkle and glamour into the story of the original film.
Following Ali as she heads from rural America to New York City in search of her mother, the musical features iconic songs from the film alongside new songs by Christina Aguilera, Diane Warren Sia, Todrick Hall and Jess Folley.
Todrick Hall (Kinky Boots, Waitress) also directed and choreographed the original production, packed with sequins, soul and show-stopping performances. Steven Antin wrote both the original screenplay and the book for the musical, with additional material by Kate Wetherhead.

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

This uplifting new musical tells the extraordinary story of William Kamkwamba, who as a boy, saved his community from famine, armed with only some library books and scrap metal. The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind is based on Kamkwamba’s memoir and the subsequent film starring Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Described as ‘a rousing musical’ by the Guardian during its short run at The RSC’s Other Place, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind transferred to @sohoplace Theatre in London. Called ‘a rousing musical’ by the Guardian, the show features music and lyrics by Tim Sutton (Restless Natives, RSC’s The Merry Wives of Windsor).

Disney’s Hercules
Theatre Royal Drury Lane
Disney’s Hercules gets the West End treatment in this delightful retelling of the popular Greek myth, inspired by the 1997 animated film of the same name. Familiar songs like ‘I Can Go the Distance’ and ‘Zero to Hero’ provide a bouncy soundtrack as Hercules attempts to find his place in the world, alongside brand-new musical numbers from composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast).
A new cast takes over in the final weeks of the run, including Bradley Gibson, who will offer a new take on the hunky hero after taking over from Luke Brady. Brady originated the role and will depart the production on 27 June.
Powerhouse vocals from the Muses, vibrant costumes and an feel good story offer up plenty of entertainment, whether you’re a fan of the original animated film or not.

Playing until 29 August 2026, Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q returns to the West End for a raucous night out. Bringing the nostalgic Jim Henson style puppets into the grown-up world with its grown-up problems, it will take audiences on a journey of self-discovery.
Fresh out of college, Princeton is unsure what to do with his life when he moves into an apartment on Avenue Q. What he finds is a group of friends who, like him, are still trying to figure things out.
The puppets, designed by former Sesame Street puppeteer Rick Lyon, are the star of the show, and hilarious musical numbers like ‘Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist,’ ‘If You Were Gay,’ and ‘It Sucks to be Me,’ are hard not to laugh along to. Avenue Q opened to rave reviews last month, bringing an old classic to a whole new audience.

As far as musicals go, Kinky Boots is a sparkly feel-good night out. Playing a limited run at the London Coliseum until 11 July, this show features catchy tunes from iconic 80s icon Cyndi Lauper and a moving book by Harvey Fierstein.
Based on the 2005 film of the same name, Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price as he inherits a business on the brink of disaster, with very few options left. A fortuitous encounter with drag queen Lola changes both of their lives for the better.
Johannes Radebe (Strictly Come Dancing) gives an enthusiastic turn as Lola, showing off both his dancing and vocal skills. The X Factor’s Matt Cardle also shows off impressive vocals as Charlie Price, giving this story of an unlikely friendship an extra dose of heart.

When Celine makes a surprise appearance at a Titanic museum tour, she decides it’s time to share her thoughts on what really happened to Jack and Rose. Dion’s music catalogue takes centre stage (along with a few extra additions) to illustrate the hijinks and humor of the tragic love story.

The Producers brings all the zany satire you’d expect from Mel Brooks to the West End. Brooks wrote the book and lyrics for the musical, based on his 1967 film. The musical swept the Tonys when it first premiered on Broadway in 2001, and this major West End revival has proved it remains popular.
Crowd-pleasing musical numbers like ‘I Wanna Be a Producer,’ ‘Keep It Gay,’ and ‘Springtime for Hitler’ lend themselves well to an uproariously funny and borderline offensive book, bringing audiences along for the ride as down and out producer Max Bialystock recovers from his most recent flop.
When his mousy accountant Leo Bloom informs him that it’s more profitable to make a flop than a smash hit, Bialystock ropes him in on a cockamamie idea: to stage the biggest flop Broadway has ever seen. Critics praised this revival of The Producers, which opened in the West End after a highly acclaimed sold out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory. It’s a hilarious show you won’t want to miss.
