Vanessa Williams and Matt Henry to stay with the production until October 2026
Gird your loins, London! Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives star Vanessa Williams tonight confirmed that she is extending her acclaimed run as the formidable Miranda Priestly in the West End production of The Devil Wears Prada.
Making the announcement during the series premiere of The Claudia Winkleman Show on BBC One, Williams revealed she will now lead the production at the Dominion Theatre until 17 October 2026.
A Royal Extension
The news comes as a huge boost to the production, which has become a box-office powerhouse since opening at the Dominion Theatre in late 2024. Vanessa Williams was originally scheduled to depart the show this April, but will now remain as the “Queen of Fashion” for an additional six months.
The production itself is also expanding its stay in London. Due to overwhelming demand, the musical has extended its booking period at the Dominion Theatre until 6 February 2027, with over 250,000 new tickets now released.
Matt Henry staying as Nigel
In further good news for fans of the original London cast, Olivier Award winner Matt Henry is also set to stay with the production. Henry, who stars as the effortlessly stylish Nigel, will continue alongside Williams until 17 October 2026.
The chemistry between the two leads has been cited as a highlight of the show, which features a high-energy score by Sir Elton John and direction by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell.

A Blockbuster Success
Speaking to Claudia Winkleman tonight, Williams expressed her delight at staying in the West End, saying that the role of Miranda Priestly is one she isn’t quite ready to leave behind.
The musical, based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel and the iconic 2006 film starring Meryl Streep, continues to play to packed houses at the Dominion. The current cast also features Stevie Doc as Andy and Taila Halford as Emily.
New Performance Dates for 2026/2027
The new extension takes The Devil Wears Prada booking period through the Christmas 2026 season and into early 2027.
Casting for the roles of Miranda and Nigel from 19 October 2026 onwards is yet to be announced.
