Don’t miss this sensational new London musical Ruth about the real-life story of Ruth Ellis – the last woman to be executed in Britain.
It was the crime that rocked 1950s Britain. The peroxide blonde nightclub hostess Ruth Ellis, who shot and killed her violent upper-class lover and was sentenced to hang for the crime – making her the last woman to be executed in Britain.
Now Ruth’s compelling story is brought to the stage in this powerful new musical.
Set against the tawdry glamour of London’s vice clubs, Ruth traces the 28-year-old’s relationships with the men who shaped her tragically short life – her abusive father Arthur, devoted Desmond, and volatile David, who was her obsession and her undoing.
Ruth The Musical is playing at Wilton’s Music Hall in London from 18 to 28 March 2026.
