Tao of Glass: A Storytelling Tapestry
Following its critically acclaimed world premiere at the Manchester International Festival, Tao of Glass arrives in London for its highly anticipated West End debut.
Inspired by a dream, this production is part-concert and part-performance—a storytelling tapestry soundtracked by ten brand new pieces of music composed specifically for this show by Philip Glass. Performed by Phelim McDermott alongside an ensemble of world-class musicians and puppeteers, the show explores life, loss, and the eternal question: Where does true inspiration come from?
This is not just a play; it is a meditation on Taoist wisdom and the culmination of decades of collaboration between Glass and McDermott, the minds behind the Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Akhnaten and the record-breaking My Neighbour Totoro.
