A Modern Love Story with a Twist

Blink is a darkly funny and bittersweet two-hander exploring connection, loneliness and intimacy in the digital age.

Set in Leytonstone, the story follows Sophie and Jonah, two isolated individuals navigating grief and unexpected change. When Sophie sends Jonah a baby monitor, she invites him into her life in an unusual way — watching from afar.

What unfolds is a haunting and tender exploration of voyeurism, vulnerability and what it truly means to be seen.

A Love Story for the Age of Surveillance

Sophie and Jonah are two lonely souls living in Leytonstone, both grappling with grief and unexpected inheritance. When Sophie sends Jonah a baby monitor, she invites him to watch her life—not through a screen, but through a lens. What follows is a hauntingly beautiful exploration of intimacy, voyeurism, and the desire to be witnessed.

Originally commissioned by Soho Theatre, Phil Porter’s Bruntwood Prize-winning play has never felt more relevant. In 2026, a world of doorbell cams, TikTok lives, and constant vlogging, Blink asks the ultimate question: What does it really mean for someone to truly see you?

Blink runs at the Kind’s Head Theatre, London from 18 February to 22 March 2026.
