Get tickets to Dog Man: The Musical, the hit family show based on Dav Pilkey’s bestselling Dog Man books. Coming to London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on the Southbank Centre for summer 2026, don’t miss this laugh-out-loud, action-packed stage adventure for ages 5+.

Bringing Pilkey’s beloved characters to life with high-energy songs, slapstick comedy and comic-book mayhem, this acclaimed musical has won praise in the US for its big heart and kid-friendly humour — with plenty of laughs for grown-ups too.

Written by Kevin Del Aguila and Brad Alexander, and directed and choreographed by Jen Wineman, Dog Man: The Musical is adapted from the global publishing phenomenon by Dav Pilkey — also the creator of Captain Underpants and Cat Kid Comic Club.

The show follows best friends George and Harold as they set out to create a musical about their favourite hero, Dog Man — the part-dog, part-man crime-fighter who is “ALL HERO!”. As the boys race to finish their show before lunchtime, Dog Man battles Flippy the cyborg fish, an army of Beasty Buildings, and the villainous Petey, in a fast and funny adventure filled with Pilkey’s trademark humour and heart.

Praised by the New York Times — “You have to love a family show that makes adults laugh, too” — and the Los Angeles Times, which celebrates its “empathy, creativity, friendship and warmth”, the musical is an ideal first theatre trip for young audiences.

Best friends George and Harold have been creating comics for years, but now that they’re 10, they figure it’s time to level up and write a musical based on their favourite character, Dog Man, the crime-biting sensation who is part dog, part man, and ALL HERO!! How hard could it be? With the head of a dog and the body of a policeman, Dog Man loves to fight crime and chew on the furniture. But while trying his best to be a good boy, can he save the city from Flippy the cyborg fish and his army of Beasty Buildings?

Can he catch Petey, the world’s most evil cat, who has cloned himself to exact revenge on the doggy do-gooder? And will George and Harold finish their show before lunchtime? Find out in this epic musical adventure featuring the hilarity and heart of Dav Pilkey’s beloved characters. Written by Kevin Del Aguila and Brad Alexander.
