Fra Fee and Simon Russell Beale will star in I’ll Be Seeing You at Pitlochry Festival Theatre in 2026.
Written by Martin Sherman (Bent, The Boy from Oz, Mrs Henderson Presents), this bold and imaginative fantasia follows a young gay playwright struggling to write a drama about Liberace — the ultimate showman. When Liberace unexpectedly appears, the story slips deliciously into the surreal. Through music, memory and seductive wit, he pushes both writer and audience to confront their assumptions and truths.
BAFTA, Olivier and Tony Award-winner Simon Russell Beale (The Lehman Trilogy, The Death of Stalin) plays Liberace, with Fra Fee (Cabaret, Hawkeye, Prime Target) as the young playwright.
Funny, provocative and deeply moving, I’ll Be Seeing You celebrates one of entertainment’s most unforgettable icons while blurring the line between reality and fantasy.
Directed by Alan Cumming, the production forms part of his first season as Artistic Director and is set to be a highlight of the theatre’s 75th anniversary year.
I’ll Be Seeing You runs from 12 September to 11 October 2026 in the Studio at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
