Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway reunite in a first look at the follow-up to the hit comedy, set to be released in May 2026.
Grab your designer sunglasses – Miranda Priestly is back! The first teaser trailer has been released for The Devil Wears Prada 2, reuniting Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway nearly two decades after the original movie became a global hit.
The Oscar-winning pair reprise their iconic roles as ruthless magazine editor Miranda Priestly and her long-suffering assistant Andy Sachs. This time, the story finds Priestly facing a modern dilemma: the collapse of the print magazine industry. To survive, she’s forced to collaborate with her former assistant Emily Charlton, played by Emily Blunt, now a high-powered executive at a luxury fashion brand that controls major advertising budgets.
The film also welcomes back Stanley Tucci as Nigel, while Kenneth Branagh joins the cast as Priestly’s new husband. New additions include Simone Ashley, Rachel Bloom, and Lucy Liu. Director David Frankel returns for the sequel, which is set to hit cinemas on 1 May 2026.
Filming has taken place in a number of locations, from New York’s Brooklyn to Milan.
The original 2006 The Devil Wears Prada movie was based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel, and earned more than $326 million worldwide. It has also inspired a West End stage musical version.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is released in UK cinemas on 1 May 2026.
