ONCE The Musical is to close at the Phoenix Theatre in London following a three year run

Producers of Broadway musical ONCE have announced that it is to close in London on 21 March 2015.
The show will end following Ronan Keating’s run in the show, starring as Guy alongside Jill Winternitz as Girl from 17 November 2014.
Playing at the Phoenix Theatre, the show opened in April 2013 and won the 2014 Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music.
The original Broadway production, which plays at the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre until 4 January 2015, won 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical.
Following the show’s West End run it will embark on a European tour.
Directed by John Tiffany, ONCE is based on the much-loved Oscar-winning film and celebrates love, friendship and Irish music performed by a talented cast of actors and musicians.
The show features a book by Enda Walsh, with music and lyrics by Academy Award winning Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová.
The show currently stars David Hunter as Guy and Jill Winternitz as Girl.
