BAFTA-winning children’s presenter Maddie Moate will return to the West End this festive season with her Olivier Award-nominated family show Maddie Moate’s Very Curious Christmas, running at the Garrick Theatre from 12 December to 4 January 2026.

Joining Moate on stage will be Kira MacCarter as Tinker, the trainee toymaker, and Zain Abrahams as Goggles, Head of Elf Safety, with CBeebies favourite Jennie Dale reprising her role as Mrs Claus via a special virtual appearance.

Created and written by Moate, the show invites young audiences inside Santa’s bustling workshop for a whirlwind of science, silliness, and seasonal cheer. With Christmas approaching fast, Maddie, Tinker and Goggles must overcome a series of mishaps, using curiosity, experiments and a sprinkle of magic to prepare for Mrs Claus’ big visit.

Moate is best known for the BAFTA-nominated CBeebies series Maddie’s Do You Know?, as well as CBBC’s Show Me the Honey and the 2025 CBeebies Musical The Great Ice Cream Hunt. She has also been a regular in the CBeebies Christmas Show since 2017 and has appeared at the Royal Albert Hall for the CBeebies Proms.

Beyond television, Moate runs her award-winning YouTube channel, which has amassed more than 90 million views, and is the author of several children’s non-fiction books including Stuff and How Does It Work?. She is also a patron of the Youth STEM Awards and an ambassador for The Wildlife Trust and Eureka: The National Children’s Museum.

The show has been praised by critics, with The Guardian calling it a “scientific wonderland”, Broadway World hailing it as “a winner”, and London Theatre 1 describing it as “a great family show.”
