Full casting has been announced for the European premiere of Richard Greenberg’s The Assembled Parties at Hampstead Theatre in London.
Directed by Blanche McIntyre, The Assembled Parties is playing at Hampstead Theatre from 17 October to 22 November 2025.
Hollywood star and Tony Award nominee Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein) is joining the cast as Julie, alongside already announced Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEnders, The Merchant of Venice 1936) as Faye.
The cast also features Daniel Abelson (In Praise of Love) as Ben, Julia Kass (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Shelley, David Kennedy (Days of Significance) as Mort, Alexander Marks as Scotty / Tim, Sam Marks (The Fever Syndrome) as Jeff, and Rex Bamber and Maxwell Rich as young Timmy.
The late Richard Greenberg’s comedy-drama first played on Broadway in 2013. His other plays include Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain and The Dazzle.
The Assembled Parties is billed a sharply observed portrait about an extended New York Jewish family, where former movie star Julie Bascov insists on taking Christmas seriously – despite her family’s reminders that they are in fact Jewish.
Jennifer Westfeldt is an award-winning actor, writer and director best known for her starring role in the hit film Kissing Jessica Stein, which she also co-wrote, and writing, directing and starring in Friends With Kids, alongside Kirsten Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jon Hamm and Chris O’Dowd.
Her stage credits include a Tony Award nomination for Wonderful Town.
Joining Blanche McIntyre in the team are designer James Cotteril, lighting designer Malcolm Rippeth, sound designer John Leonard and casting director Anna Cooper.

The Assembled Parties is running at Hampstead Theatre from 17 October to 22 November 2025.
