Hampstead Theatre has announced its new season for autumn 2025.

The new season boasts three world premieres, a UK premiere and a major revival.

Opening on their Main Stage in October is the UK premiere of Richard Greenberg’s Tony Award-nominated play The Assembled Parties (17 October – 22 November 2025) starring Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEnders, The Merchant of Venice 1936).

Directed by Blanche McIntyre, The Assembled Parties premiered on Broadway to critical acclaim and is a sharply observed portrait of a family grasping for stability at the dawn of a new millennium.

Writer Tom Stoppard returns to Hampstead’s Main Stage in 2025, with a revival of Indian Ink (3 December 2025 – 31 January 2026) directed by Jonathan Kent. This will be the first major UK staging of the play since 1995.

Indian Ink will star Felicity Kendal (Noises Off, The Good Life) as Mrs Swan, 30 years after originating the role of Flora Crewe in the world premiere production, a role that Tom Stoppard wrote for her.

The season continues at Hampstead’s Downstairs theatre with writer Will Lord making his debut with The Billionaire Inside Your Head (19 September – 25 October 2025) a biting satire questioning the value of motivation and what it may end up costing you, directed by Anna Ledwich.

Writer Nancy Farino debuts Fatherland (31 October – 29 November 2025), directed by Tessa Walker. Fatherland is a sharp, tender and darkly funny new play about the chaos of connection.

Finally, following his playwriting debut at Hampstead Theatre earlier this year with The Interrogation, Jamie Armitage is returning to the venue with a new play.

Armitage will write and direct new show A Ghost in Your Ear (6 December 2025 – 24 January 2026), billed as a chilling and immersive new play using binaural sound technology made in collaboration with acclaimed sound designers Ben and Max Ringham.

In other Hampstead news, award-winning playwright Simon Stephens, who is their newly appointed Programme Director of Hampstead’s Inspire programme, will provide mentorship to emerging playwrights of all ages and backgrounds. Also, as part of Hampstead’s Engage programme, playwright Carmen Nasr will lead a creative writing group in collaboration with Wac Arts focused on fostering intergenerational connection.
