The Olivier Award-winning global sensation Slava’s Snowshowhas announced the full company of “fabulous fools” set to bring its unique brand of theatrical magic back to UK stages this autumn.
The iconic roles of the yellow and green clowns will be shared by an international ensemble of performers. Leading the troupe are Vanya Polunin — son of creator Slava Polunin — and long-time collaborator Artem Zhimo, alongside American duo Aelita West and Bradford West, Italian clown Francesco Bifano, Dutch performer Yury Musatov, and the UK’s own Christopher Lynam.
Creator Slava Polunin will also appear during the tour, stepping into the role he first performed more than three decades ago for select surprise performances.
Polunin said: “Clowning is much more than laughter — it’s about seeing life from a poetic perspective, finding joy and emotions in the simple, the absurd, and the unexpected. The UK has always embraced our poetic universe, and I can’t wait to see how new audiences react.”
Slava’s SnowShow is a worldwide phenomenon, enchanting over 14 million theatregoers with its blend of chaotic clowning and poetic spectacle. A winner of more than 20 international awards — including the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment — the show continues to dazzle with its dreamlike imagery, from clowns ensnared in giant spiderwebs to the now-legendary snowstorm finale.
Following a smash-hit run last year, the show returns to the UK opening at New Theatre Cardiff (15-18 October); it will then travel to Manchester, Nottingham, Richmond (London), Birmingham, York and Bradford.
The production is presented by Wild Yak & Show One Productions, in association with Rupert Gavin, Mallory Factor and Dan Colman, and in collaboration with Slava and Gwenael Allan of GAAP.
