Hot Mess: A New Musical is now playing in Edinburgh as part of the Festival Fringe, at the Pleasance Courtyard until 25 August 2025. The show is then playing in London at Southwark Playhouse Elephant from 16 October to 8 November 2025.
This buzzy new show stars Danielle Steers (SIX The Musical, The Cher Show) and Tobias Turley (Mamma Mia!) as the universe’s most iconic couple! After a billion years of bad dates, Earth has finally found the one… Humanity. But what begins as a passionate love affair quickly becomes a hot mess!
The musical is from the creative duo behind hit musical 42 Balloons – Jack Godfrey and Ellie Coote, and is billed as a breakout new pop musical about love, loss, and the ultimate cosmic fallout.

Hot Mess is the first production to transfer to London from Birmingham Hippodrome’s New Musical Theatre Department, and was commissioned by Vicky Graham Productions who co-produce in partnership with Aria Entertainment / TRW Production. The Principal Supporter of Hot Mess is Charles Holloway.
