Hit children’s show The Gruffalo’s Child is returning to London’s West End this Christmas 2025 for a strictly limited season.
The show will play at the West End’s Lyric Theatre in London from 28 November 2025 to 11 January 2026.
The Gruffalo’s Child brings Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s award-winning The Gruffalo sequel to life in a magical, musical adaptation, full of songs, laughs and scary fun for children of all ages.
First published in 1999, The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson, with illustrations by Axel Scheffler, became a publishing phenomenon, with its follow-up story, The Gruffalo’s Child, published in 2004. The book was honoured with the title of Children’s Book of the Year at the prestigious British Book of the Year Awards in 2005.
The stage adaptation, brought to life by Tall Stories, is a magical, musical adaptation of the book, full of songs, laughs and scary fun for children of all ages.
The Gruffalo’s Child is playing at the Lyric Theatre from 28 November 2025 to 11 January 2026.
