Miss Saigon has extended its UK and Ireland tour into 2026, with new venues added due to exceptional demand.
First announced in November 2024, the production is set to open at Newcastle Theatre Royal on 4 October 2025, with the newly added performances extending the run into summer 2026. New stops include Liverpool Empire, Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre, and the King’s Theatre in Glasgow.
The show is produced by Michael Harrison (EVITA, Starlight Express) in association with Miss Saigon’s original producer, Cameron Mackintosh (Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton, Mary Poppins).
Full casting was revealed today, and includes The X Factor’s Seann Miley Moore as The Engineer, Julianne Pundan making her professional debut as Kim, and Jack Kane as Chris.
Cameron Mackintosh said: “We have now completed our search for a really fantastic cast, full of exciting discoveries, that will bring Boublil and Schönberg’s extraordinary, powerful musical back to thrilling life. I can’t wait to see Miss Saigon reborn again.”
Miss Saigon has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French lyrics by Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. Orchestrations are by William David Brohn.
Miss Saigon tells the story of Kim, a young Vietnamese woman who falls in love with an American GI during the final days of the Vietnam War, leading to a harrowing and emotional journey across continents. The musical features songs such as “The Heat is On in Saigon”, “Last Night of the World” and “The American Dream”.
First staged in London in 1989, Miss Saigon has become one of the most successful musicals of all time, seen by over 38 million people in 378 cities worldwide. The upcoming tour marks 35 years since its West End debut.
