HAMLET STARRING BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH: £10 seats and booking date announced

Benedict Cumberbatch to star as Hamlet at the Barbican Theatre.

The Barbican Theatre has confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Hamlet will go on sale on Monday 11 August 2014 at 10am (priority booking for Barbican members began on 1 August 2014).

Running from 5 August 2015 to 31 October 2015, Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch will tackle Shakespeare’s most demanding role in a new production of Hamlet directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions.

At each performance there will be 100 seats at £10 – and these seats will be released for sale at a later date.
