Tamzin Outhwaite (1970) is an English actress whose thirty year career on screen and stage has ensured she is a household name in the UK. She has  starred in numerous television productions and is perhaps best known for her  roles as the hugely popular Melanie Owen in EastEnders, DCI Sasha Miller in  New Tricks (3 series) and Rebecca Mitchell in Hotel Babylon (2 series).  For the stage, Tamzin received great reviews for her performances in the West End productions of Sweet Charity, Stepping Out and, Di & Viv & Rose.
